PT. Transjakarta Takes Part in C40 Cities Workshop in Oslo

PT. Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) Corporate Secretary and Public Relation, Nadia Diposanjoyo was selected as one of Jakarta's representatives to participate in C40 Cities Workshop in Oslo, Norway, last week.

This workshop was participated by 10 big cities in the world that discussed about efforts to develop a clean and comfort city with healthy citizens. Besides Jakarta, there are other cities, namely Austin, Nanjin, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Mexico City, San Fransisco and Seattle.

According to her, Jakarta development led by Anies Baswedan through Urban Regeneration program was similar with Oslo's initial step in becoming the world's role model for city that is clean, healthy, and comfortable.

Oslo is the electric vehicle capital city of the world . All types of transportation vehicles have switched to use electricity, including its infrastructure development equipment," she conveyed, Thursday (11/14).From total 94 cities participated in C40, she continued, Jakarta was the one of the important cities that makes radical changes to improve air quality while increasing opportunities for the health, economy, and community welfare.
On that occasion, Jakarta took in a part of becoming the steering committee, together with Amman, Boston, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Milan, Paris, Seoul, and Tokyo.
Jakarta also shared a guidance and strategic governance in handling climate changing and improving citizen's welfare.
"For the world, the ultimate goal is to maintain a conducive climate and withstand the global warming," she asserted.
